The Super Strike 6'' Lizard is a must for spring fishing. Spring bass bite a lizard not just to feed but to kill. A bass seems to really hate a lizard, the reasons vary as to why, but the point is you need to fish a lizard early in the year.  Fishing the lizard "Texas Rig" around shoreline cover is an excellent starting point. A lot of people overlook the "Carolina Rig" in shallow water but rest assured it works very well and you should try both. It seems the "Carolina Rig" Lizard works better in shallow sandy spots with some outlying vegetation.

Later on when things warm up, a lizard fished on a "Carolina Rig" in deeper water around drop offs and ledges is very productive and in "general" the way most people fish the impoundment's during the summer months.
